Update: The reviewer for GamePro who has played through MGS4 has left this comment about the 90 minute rumor.
"I've beat the game twice, and am the author of the forthcoming [GamePro] review," Shuman said. "Ninety-minute-long cinemas in MGS4 sounds like an exaggeration. Like the other MGS games, MGS4 definitely has a cinematic quality. And yes, some of the cut-scenes in the game are elaborate and occasionally lengthy. But not a one, to my recollection, even approaches 90 minutes."
Original Story: According to the latest issue of PlayStation World magazine, Konami’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will feature cut scenes that run up to 90 minutes in length.
Although such lengthy cinematics have become virtually synonymous with the popular stealth franchise over the years, MGS4 is set to feature by far the longest of any story sequences in the series to date.
However, the publication does reveal that players will be able to pause or skip any cut scene in the game if they wish. The article goes on to describe the game’s story as “massive,” labelling it “the videogame equivalent of all three Godfather movies on one disc.”
“As you'd expect, you'll spend a lot of time watching cut-scenes, so if you found previous games' story exposition laborious, then you'd better find yourself a nice cushion and plenty of teabags in readiness for MGS4's,” it states.
"They can be skipped, but you'll be missing out on some of the finally crafted examples of FMV footage anywhere in gaming.”
Metal Gear Solid 4 is due out worldwide on June 12.

Huh!?
In reference to the update, I think this 90 minutes cutscene comment would actually be referring to the total cutscene time & not 1 singular cut-scene.
I don't know whether the reading of the original comment was poor, or the writing of it was poor, but for crying out loud.....use a little reason when referring to game cut-scenes & a time of 90 minutes. Its hardly going to be one cut-scene. If it was, it would be called a movie...not a game.lol.

a 90 minute cut scene ? ..... i think its like 90 minutes in total , really i do not want to sit there watching a frek movie then play the game . They took 4 years to make a 90 minute cut scene ? thats obsurd , i want gameplay and story like RESISTANCE FALL OF MAN now thats epic and we will be getting Resistance 2 soon and i dont feel buying this game anymore , sounds like 2 hour gameplay man , thats basically a MGS4 gameplay verison of COD4 no way and COD4 got alot of flak for that also . I like long games with GAMEPLAY not long games with the length made up with CUT SCENES . This is sad and unfortunately will turn alot of potential buyers away from the game ... oh well it has me change my mind. This is a 20 dollar bargain for me

First of all it's 90 minutes TOTAL cutscenes. Also I'd guess and say(from previous MGS games and watching most MGS4 gameplay videos) that it' gonna be like: 10minutes intro, 20minutes ending(close to MGS2 and MGS1) and 60minutes in the middle(a lot of flashbacks and conversations with Emmerich, Campbell,...etc).
